Grouse Point Kennels in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is dedicated to breeding and hunting top quality, AKC and NAVHDA registered German Shorthair Pointers. The versatile hunting dog. I am training for and testing in the NAVHDA and AKC testing programs for versatile hunting dogs. These tests are designed to prove the inherent abilities and the trainability of your dog. I am breeding dogs that are proven to possess the traits and abilities that are required for hunting in the field and marsh. All of my breeding adults are also tested and certified for conformational soundness. They all have their hips and eyes certified against genetic defects.

I generally breed one or two litters of German Shorthair Pointers puppies per year, and may know of other litters that stand up to my requirements for a versatile hunting dog. I guarantee the health and soundness of my pups. My puppies are sold to homes that intend to hunt them. I strongly encourage new puppy owners to participate in NAVHDA or AKC hunt testing programs, and offer help for those that need assistance in training their German Shorthaired Pointer pup for NAVHDA or AKC hunting tests.

I do a limited amount of Gun Dog training, for both versatile dogs and retrievers. Your dog will receive a great deal of my personal attention and will be well socialized with the other dogs as well. I specialize in getting young dogs ready for their first hunting experiences. I work on developing their manners for the kennel and in the field. Your dog will be trained to respond to voice, whistle, and hand. I try to bring out the best in each dog and produce well-trained students that I would be proud to hunt behind.
